Well, I finally broke down and created a Russian fighter out of wood. I started my hardest project by far Sunday night and it just finished drying. In case you're wondering, I have modeled the amazing aircraft known as the Su-37 Flanker (dubbed so by NATO).
And as always, here are the pictures.
By the way, the title of the post means "Wood Grows Wings" in Russian :-)

Wow I did not know that you made some of your planes from wood. That is amazing. Nice paint job too.

Typical of your work! Great job. That paint really brings out the Russian element of the craft. The aerial picture of it almost looks like a real aeroplane.
Reillys ~ I make all of my airplanes out of wood actually. Matt B got me started on model airplane making using clothes-pegs with the spring removed, but I've since "graduated" to using any scraps of wood I can find.
Jonathan ~ Why, thank you! I had a lot of fun painting this one, but the dark blotches didn't come out the color I had in mind, It's supposed to be more of a brownish hue.
