So, if you were given the option of flying any one of these, which would it be?

Well, the U-2 is too old, the Darkstar is too slow, the P-791 is just stupid looking, and I'd be afraid of damaging the $1 billion B-2 Spirit.
I guess It'd be a toss up between the F-117 and the SR-71, but I'd probably pick the Blackbird 'cause it's faster.
P.S. Notice that all but one was made by Lockheed Martin? They make the best jets ever, and this article is a perfect example.

Well, in my opinion, the F-117 looks the coolest (partly due to the radar-stealth design), however, they didn't get a very good picture of it. You can see a cooler one Here:

The plane on the left is an F-22 Raptor. The black one is an F-117. In front is an F-4 Phantom, and lastly on the right is an F-15 Eagle. These four planes are some of America's greatest fighters, although I would put the P-51 Mustang (flew mostly in WWII) on that list as well.
On a side note, one thing about the F-117 that is fascinating is that it's like a bumble bee, it doesn't "deserve" to fly. The math says this aircraft will plummet to the ground (if you could even get it in the air). This is because the wing area and the shape of the wing surfaces aren't "correct", so to speak, for the rest of the plane. However, the way the fuselage of the plane is shaped actually acts like a third wing; producing high and low pressures in all the correct areas to produce lift.
Sorry, I've probably talked your ear off, but I'm somewhat of an expert of the subject of Airplanes and I don't often find anyone willing to listen to me :-)

Well, that is a cool video. However, you have defeated yourself with your own argument. In that video, the F-16 was the one that shot down the F-15. The Eagles may have been more powerful than the Falcons, but F-16s are much more maneuverable.

Alright Graydon, I have to agree with you on the F-117, it sounds too awesome. Especially with the whole pressure thing. Man, don't ask me to join the debate..."the whole pressure thing", for heavens sake...

That's alright Sophia, We already had it at Church this morning. Sam had the F-15 mixed up with the F-22, which is the greatest fighter ever.
It's stealth, it's fast, it's efficient, it utilizes thrust vectoring, rear-facing radar, HOTAS fly-by-wire system, a fully customizable all-glass cockpit, and it looks absolutely WICKED!!!
No four aircraft could put up a decent fight against a single F-22.

After what you told me, I went and researched the Nighthawk and several others, so I'm not completely ignorant now. After that, I went and made some paper airplanes, so I learned a lot of aeronautical terms too :). My bro helped me with test flights, so that was fun...

Did you use a book with instructions in it? I use one called "Advanced Paper Airplane Designs" Original title huh? ;-)

The book I used is called something like Instant Paper Airplanes or Easy Paper Airplanes and it has a lot of shaded areas that give info on like, why your paper airplane is stalling and how to fix it and such.
I think paper airplanes are more fun than models, because you can crumple them when you're annoyed. :)
My brother got a airplane for Christmas, but I wasn't really interested in looking at it, because they (him and my other brothers)were flying it all over and trying not to hit me (didn't work).
No, I don't have a blog, but I've been thinking about getting one, so I can let my online friends know what I'm up to.
Today's my birthday, so I'm probably gonna force everyone to do origami and paper airplanes. :D

Happy Birthday! Is the big 16? I literally just got back from an airsoft/football/birthday party for my friends Josh and Paul (both 14 now)! Crazy coincidence!
You should get a blog, they're a lot of fun, they can keep you up with your friends, and they can be relatively easy to keep up.
I've never heard of those paper airplane books, but there's probably a thousand books about paper airplanes so that's not saying much.
Anyway, if you do get a blog, let me know, I'll be the first to subscribe!
