Highlight #58

Hey y'all, Not much to report today, same as always. I wish I could have done some more trouble-shooting on Josh's gun, but, I simply didn't have time.

As for "who wants to run for president", I have made some major advancments; I printed the first set of cards and finaly came up with a board design that actualy works. The main problem in a standard move-around-the-board game (like monopoly for instance) is trying to balance the element of chance with skill, knowledge, and decerment. On one side you have games like "candy land", which are based entirely on chance. And on the other side, games like "stratego" which are based entirely on skill. Right now, I have some major elements leaning on the dice, but these are (I hope) countered by competition and the urge to beat out your opponents. The idea behind the game is this; travel around the country making campain decisions and making speaches in diferent states. where you travel to has a lot to do with which states you win, and each state has the actual number of electoral votes used in real life.

The one thing I need help on is the title, "who wants to run for president" is waaaaay to long, if you have any ideas, leave a comment and tell me about them. Some Ideas I came up with are, "Pesidential election", "Campain tycoon", and "running for president". Like I said, I will welcome any sudjestions. :-)

Well, gotta go now, Hogan's Heroes is calling me. I'll write again tomorow!

I hope everyone has started working on their story for the 100th post contest. You still have time, but you'd better get some ideas flowin'!
